Music Business Association
Color Coded Media Group partnered with the Colorado Music Industry Alliance (CMIA) at a critical moment: the launch of a first-of-its-kind statewide coalition built to advocate for Colorado’s music professionals. From the outset, our role was deeply collaborative. Together, we focused on turning a grassroots idea into a formalized movement. We helped shape CMIA’s founding brand identity and helped build the digital infrastructure necessary to mobilize a diverse community of artists, venues, educators, and advocates. We co-developed CMIA’s brand voice, created launch communications, and led digital strategy to drive statewide awareness and engagement.

Strategic Goals
To support the launch of CMIA, CCMG developed a strategic communications plan focused on building public visibility, uniting stakeholders, and laying a strong foundation for long-term advocacy. Through co-created messaging, digital infrastructure, and outreach efforts, CCMG positioned CMIA as a credible and inclusive force within the state’s creative economy.
- Establish a digital presence and internal operations procedures to support project management, community engagement and coalition-building.
- Craft messaging that resonates with diverse music professionals across Colorado.
- Launch a coordinated public-facing campaign to recruit founding members and partners.
- Lay groundwork for future policy initiatives through strategic narrative framing and coalition growth.

The Challenge
Launch a statewide coalition for music professionals seeking policy change and community resources.
Our Approach
Co-created founding messaging and branding, developed internal project management systems, developed digital strategy, and supported public engagement. This included public-facing content, audience segmentation, member recruitment campaigns, and charitable giving campaigns, all grounded in CMIA’s vision for a more equitable and sustainable music ecosystem.
The Results
Launched with prominent founding members and earned recognition from local arts and policy organizations.
