Terrestrial Public Radio
In 2023, we partnered with THE DROP 104.7, Denver’s leading public radio station for R&B and hip-hop, to amplify the reach, cultural impact, and community relevance of our Auditorium Music Industry Conference. THE DROP 104.7 is one of the first public Urban Adult Contemporary radio stations in the nation. We’ve worked with THE DROP on several projects since its inception on KUVO HD2. Most recently, we worked in partnership with THE DROP to produce a midsize 2 day music business conference for the Denver Metro area with plans to produce the conference annually.

Strategic Goals
As the first public radio station in Colorado led by a Black woman, THE DROP was a natural partner for an event focused on education, empowerment, and professional development within the independent music ecosystem. This collaboration was mission-aligned, centering local talent, amplifying underrepresented voices, and creating career pathways through connection, conversation, and exposure.
- Collaborate on content and programming that highlights emerging Colorado artists, particularly those historically underrepresented in music industry conversations.
- Pilot a media partnership with the intention of building a stronger, more deeply integrated community ecosystem that supports future partnerships, including talent curation, co-branded events, and cross-promotional campaigns.
- Develop messaging frameworks, systems for run-of-show PR support, and post-event coverage planning.

The Challenge
Build a catalog of local music in compliance with FCC standards and quality measures. Promote a community-led music industry summit featuring national talent and industry professionals.
Our Approach
As our Presenting Partner, THE DROP 104.7 strategically hosted The Auditorium 2024 to engage listeners, boost local music submissions, and increase brand awareness. Despite facing challenges with a high volume of low-quality submissions, the conference served as a valuable platform for educating their audience on best practices for radio promotion.
The Results
Attendees gained practical insights, enhancing the quality of submissions and mutually benefiting both THE DROP 104.7 and the local music community. The station continues to successfully expand its catalog and strengthened its community connection through The Auditorium by actively contributing to the development of local talent.
